NFL Draft Preview: Devontez Walker

There was a reason Carolina wanted to get Tez Walker out on the field with Drake Maye, and he showed it quickly with ridiculous speed and the ability to just completely open up the deep routes for Maye. In eight games he managed 699 yards catching, including a 56 yard bomb caught in his first real game against Miami. It’s just a shame he never got a full season thanks to the ridiculousness of the NCAA, and the fight Tez had with them started a crack that ultimately tore down the one-time transfer rule.

Unfortunately for the 6’1” 193 pound receiver, teams started locking on him at the end of the season.
