Patriots’ best weapon may miss ‘multiple games’ due to injury (report)

The New England Patriots may need to prepare to be without running back Rhamondre Stevenson for much of the remaining season.

The Athletic’s Jeff Howe reports that the Patriots’ top running back “will miss time, possibly multiple games” due to an ankle injury suffered in Sunday’s loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. Howe notes that the “belief” is that Stevenson had a sprain and that further testing will provide more insight.

Stevenson has been the centerpiece of the Patriots offense so far this season. Through the first 11 games, Stevenson ran for 580 yards while going for 238 through the air.
